Progressive Power Group added a fourth division specializing in utility installations. In March PPG completed two utility-scale projects totaling over 5 megawatts. By year end PPG will have been part of over 28 megawatts of utility installations. The commercial division experienced strong growth with installations in Florida and Washington. The residential fulfillment division expanded it’s coverage from two Southern California counties to nine.
In January 2011, PPG partnered with Express Energy to provide solar solutions to their brand. In addition to solar, we now offer energy efficient lighting retrofits. PPG installs their first system over ½ a megawatt in size and is installing nationally.
In June of 2010, PPG launched a third division specializing in customer fulfillment and became the lead solar installer for the second largest solar lease provider in California. Throughout the year PPG established a fulfillment sales channel in which they continue to grow today. The commercial division experienced exponential grow and the “Micro Solar System” has become an industry standard.
Progressive Power Group, Inc. was awarded Sharp Electronics’ Top New Contractor for their Global Solar Division in December of 2009. PPG launches the commercial solar division a second division to support their already successful residential solar division. PPG completed two commercial installations over 50 kw.
In September of 2008, PPG moved into their current location in Garden Grove, CA. and partnered with Earth Friendly Products (EFP) to bring solar solutions to their company and brand. EFP provides quality cleaning products that are made with sustainable plant-based ingredients and complete in performance, price and convenience to the major brands. The “Micro Solar System” was a success and copied by most of the major players in the Solar Industry. PPG purchased their first of many complete containers of solar panels and developed direct relationships with the A list suppliers in the industry.
In May of 2007, Progressive Power Group, Inc. (PPG) incorporated in California and formal operations began. In June PPG completed their first residential project in Santa Cruz. Later in year Progressive Power Group became the first company to offer the “Micro Solar System”. The “Micro Solar System” was a small solar system that took advance of the small roofs in Southern California and also provided an excellent return on investment for clients.
